Born in Anderson, SC, Frankie was a son to the late William Carlton Cartee and Dessie Hembree Cartee. He attended Barnette's Grove Cathedral of Love. Frankie was a special person, becoming a friend to all he met and especially loved by his immediate family, friends, and church family.Survivors include his brothers, William Ray Cartee and James Edward Cartee; sisters, Sybil L. Mitchell and Joyce A. Nix, all of Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frankie was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Cartee.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the funeral service.The family requests no flowers.
