John Randolph "Randy" Dabney, Sr., age 68, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to Judith Elrod Dabney, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his residence. Born March 31, 1954, in Asheville, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Fleming Dabney, II, and Helen Hogue Dabney. After earning his bachelor's degree in architecture, Randy worked in corporate development, senior living development, and real estate. His career included working for Daniel Construction, Fluor Daniel, Banyan Senior Living, and Daniel Corporation in Birmingham. He enjoyed golfing, tailgating with his family, photography, vacationing in Hilton Head, watching sports, and spoiling his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, John Randolph Dabney, Jr. (Meggie) of Beltsville, MD, and Matthew Hunter Dabney (Beth) of Anderson, SC; sister, Susan Dabney Creighton of Columbia, SC; brother, Thomas Fleming Dabney, III (Rhonda) of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren, Avery Noelle Dabney, and Elijah Carter Dabney; and mother-in-law, Sarah Ruby Elrod. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tamassee DAR School, P.O.
