John Rankin "Jack" Dempster, 95, of Anderson, SC passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born September 4, 1921, in Schenectady, NY. Jack was a graduate of St. Louis University where he studied Aeronautical Engineering. He served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Transport System and later retired from Sperry Aeronautics. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Cille" Inabinet Dempster; his daughters, Pamela Dempster Jones and her husband, Coy of Waco, TX; Frances Gail Walters and her husband, Ken of Anderson, SC and Jeralon Sowers of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Adam Brewer and his wife, Austin, Christian Walters and his wife, Laura, Blake Walters and his wife, Jessie and Kathryn Walters; also survived by four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Dempster; son, Wes Dempster; step-daughter, Rebecca P. Loadholt and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Parlor at Brookdale of Anderson, 311 Simpson Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
