DUNNJUNE 24, 1928 - June 27, 2011ANDERSON, SC 'John Coolidge Dunn, age 83, of Dunn Road, died on June 27, 2011. He was the husband of the late Teola Swayngham Dunn.Born in Hartwell, GA, he was a son of the late William Erskine Dunn and Lois Dickson Dunn. He served in the US Army Corp of Engineers and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Dunn was the co-owner of Dunn Brothers Landscaping & Grading and for over twenty years was the owner of Dunn's Drain & Cleaning Service. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening, loved camping and the mountains, and spending time with his long- time friend & love, Christine Boyter. He was also known as 'Papa John' to many.Survivors include his children: Judy Crump of Anderson, SC, and Steve M. Dunn and wife, Dianne of Greenville, SC; brothers: Bobby Dunn, Rufus Dunn, Mack Dunn, Calvin Dunn, and Herman Dunn; and sisters: Sadie Norris, Betty Turner, and Nancy Earley. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Dunn Sr.; and a sister, Ruby Neil Hill.The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Jack Couch.
