John Nelson Elkins, age 42, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at his home. Born November 29, 1979 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of Jack N. Elkins and the late Pam Coate Elkins. John formerly worked as a tower technician and enjoyed car restoration. He enjoyed grilling and loved homemade ice cream. He was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, Connor Peltier of Windsor Locks, CT; daughters, Phoebie Elkins and Joyann Elkins both of Anderson; and sister, Elizabeth Peltier (John) of Seneca. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his niece, Melinda Harr. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:30 pm at Andersonville Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Bryant and John's father, Jack Elkins officiating. Burial of ashes will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 219 W. Whitner St, Anderson, SC 29624.
