He was retired from Electric City Printing Company after 42 years as a supervisor. He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and Usher. Survivors include his wife, Doris Jordan Ethridge of the home; brothers, Walter E. Ethridge of Hartwell, GA and Raymond Ethridge of Anderson; sister, Jean Huckaby of Anderson; two grandchildren, Carla Dutton Hobbs and Chad Dutton and one great- granddaughter, Miranda Hobbs. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Ethridge Dutton; sister, Barbara Jordan and great-granddaughter, Kelly Hobbs.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ralph Carter. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
