John Wilton Evans, age 54, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, SC on February 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Jane Vaughn Evans and the late Gaines Wilton Evans and his wife Jean Powers Evans, of Anderson, SC. John was a 1979 graduate of McDuffie High School and was the owner and operator of Wilton Trucking and Transportation for many years. He also worked for John Boiter Trucking Company. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a brother, Patrick Evans, of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Andrea Bridges and her husband Tommy, of Belton, SC, Joy Stone, of Townville, SC, and Pamela Bagwell, of Anderson, SC; his former wife, Susie Evans, of Anderson, SC; special friend, Kim Craft, of Lavonia, GA; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
