Mr. John Free, age 74, husband of Virginia Mauldin Free of 714 North Gossett Street, died Monday, December 19, 2005, at Hospice of the Upstate.Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late J. W. Free and Pearl Shore Free. He was the owner of Free's Radiator Shop in Belton, SC, and was very dedicated to his business. He was a member of River of Life Church of God formerly the McDuffie Street Church of God.He is survived by his wife Virginia Mauldin Free; sons Johnny Free, Jr., and Mike Free of Anderson; Stan Free of Belton; and a daughter, Cindy Free of Anderson; four grandsons; Jonathan Free, Josh Free and Tyler Free of Anderson and Andrew Free of Pelzer; three granddaughters, Amy Smith of Belton; Corrie Free of Pelzer, and Brooke Free of Anderson; and five great-grandchildren; a brother Charles Free and a sister Dot Booth both of Anderson.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Free; a grandson, Adam Free; brothers Harry Free and Wesley Free; sisters, Betty Jo Free, Margaret Ann Davis, and Irene Free.The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2005, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev.
