John William Garrison, age 66, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on November 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Garrison and the late Johnnie Evans Garrison. John proudly served his country in the United States Army, deployed to Germany, as a sharp shooter. He was employed with BASF for more than 35 years. He was an avid hunter and a hard worker, always providing for his family. John attended Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Brenda McMichael Garrison; the devoted father to Sandy Garrison (Shayne Powers), of Easley, SC, Meredith Hayes (Sandy), of Iva, SC and Andrew Moore; and the loving grandfather to Jonah Johnson and Kristen Hayes. Also surviving are four brothers; and one sister. The Funeral Service for Mr. Garrison will be held at M.J. Dolly Copper Veteran's Cemetery on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Brent Lollis officiating.
