John David Hill, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on August 15, 1959, he was the son of Margaret Ann Black Hill, of Anderson and the late John Joe Hill. He was a 1977 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School. John proudly served his country in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger. He was a house painter and carpenter for over 35 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Honea Path. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of Ella Diane Leach Hill; children, William Leach and his wife Shannon, of Belton, SC and Kristin Pederson, of Anderson, SC; and four grandchildren, Sierra Rose Zent, Christopher Erwin, Greg and Alyssa Leach. The Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Dale Phillips officiating.
