LARRY KELLEY June 11, 1945 'March 8, 2006PENDLETON, SCMr. John Larry Kelley, age 60, husband of Brenda Berry Kelley of 115 Sleepy Hollow Road, Pendleton, SC, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on June 11, 1945, Mr. Kelley was a son of Polly Powell Kelley of Simpsonville, SC and the late John Edward Kelley. He was a 1967 graduate of the University of Georgia and was former president of the Anderson Georgia Bulldog Club. He retired after 27 years of service from the First Federal Savings & Loan Association. His memberships include the Lions Club, Sertoma Club and Habitat for Humanity. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Anderson Board of Construction. Mr. Kelley was instrumental in establishing the Sandy Springs Fire Department where he served as treasurer for 27 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Anderson.Survivors include his wife, Brenda Berry Kelley and sons, John Bryce Kelley and Berry Clark Kelley, all of the home; mother, Polly Powell Kelley of Simpsonville; a brother, Edward P. Kelley of Greenville, SC and a sister, Dianne C. Blair of Warner Robins, GA.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Jason Webb and Douglas LeCroy. Interment will follow in church cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, March 10, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family is at the residence.Flowers are optional.
