John Williams Kinard Anderson, SC John (Robert) "Dude" Williams Kinard, age 75, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Williamston, SC, he was the son of the late Furman H. Kinard and the late Carolee Williams Kinard. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Tank Division. He worked as a brick mason at Gibbs Masonry for many years. He was of the Christian faith. He is survived by his companion and caregiver of 20 years, Kathy Brissey Weaver, her son, Chad Weaver and his companion, Billie Ann; children, John Kinard and his wife Jessica, Rick Kinard and his wife Traci, Tonya Albert and her husband Tim and Sonya Lee and her husband Jeff, all of Anderson, SC; a sister, Sybil Farmer, and her husband Julian, of Warrenville, SC; seven grandchildren, Nick, Colton, and CJ Kinard, Aaron, Caitlin and Andrew Albert, and Zachary Lee; and an aunt, Nellie Bagwell, of Greenville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Susan Kinard. The Graveside Service will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Greg Doebler and Reverend Cecil Albert officiating. The family will be at their respective residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, before the service, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29622.
