McClellan, 85, of 609 Choctaw Street, Anderson, husband of Betty Hall McClellan, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, 2007 at Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson.Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Claude Allen and Mattie Elizabeth McCurry McClellan. He was retired from Singer Company as a supervisor and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. Mr. McClellan was a member of Orrville Baptist Church, where he was involved in the Sunday School Department and was an usher, while his health permitted. He was a former member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church.Surviving in addition to his wife are, a son, Michael McClellan of the home; a daughter, Vickie Bowers and her husband Wayne of Hartwell, GA; and a brother, Fred McClellan of Anderson. One brother and five sisters preceded him in death.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Dr. Wendell Bannister and Phil McAlister officiating.
