McCLENDONFEBRUARY 1, 1926 - March 14, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' John Dewey McClendon, age 84, of 206 Northlake Drive, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010.Born in Birmingham, AL, on February 1, 1926, he was the son of the late John Dewey McClendon and Elisabeth Henley McClendon. He served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Auburn University. Mr. McClendon retired from the Milliken Company in Spartanburg as Personnel Director.Survivors include his children: Jim McClendon and wife, Kathy of Tucson, AZ, Margie Rowland and husband, Glenn of Anderson, SC, Steve McClendon and wife, Vicky of St. Pete Beach, FL, and Sandy McClendon of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren: Jake McClendon and wife, Kristin, Breanne McClendon, Matt Rowland and fianc' Laura Birch, Paige Rowland Thompson and husband, Eric, Parker Rowland, Cassie Gibson, and Sierra Buff; great grandchildren: Jacob McClendon, Haleigh McClendon, Rebecca Thompson, and Adam Thompson.The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 19, 2010, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
