He retired from D & B Glass Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva.Survivors include his son, Johnny Smith and his wife, Dovana of Iva; daughters, Wendy Livingston and her husband David of Pelzer and Becky Andrews and her husband, Phillip of Panama City, FL; stepson, Russell Smith and his wife, Julie of Anderson; step daughters, Robin Bryant and her husband Robbie and Pam Smith, all of Anderson; brothers, Lee Smith and his wife, Carolyn and George Smith and his wife, Myrtle, all of Greenville; sisters, Dean Long of Greenville and Helen Abbott of Charleston; twelve grandchildren, Raechele Simpson, Jami Bryant, Mason Smith, Brittany Hummel, Stephanie Carpenter, Georgia Livingston, Jonathan, Christopher and Brianna Andrews and Matthew, Mark and Haley Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Rylie Simpson.In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Paul Smith.A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 3:00 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Jerry Gray.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Friday, June 5, 2009.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Iva, P.O.
