Johnathan Lloyd Phillips, age 54, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born July 25, 1969, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Lloyd Phillips and Susan Mennix Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Mennix and Arrie "Libby" Mennix.

Johnny worked for many years as a mechanical technician at Schmid Laboratories in Anderson. He was a talented cabinet maker and loved woodworking, music, writing, and fishing. He was an avid Clemson Tigers fan and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a great friend and he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Jessie Phillips and Jared Phillips both of Easley, SC; ex-wife, Deanna Phillips of Easley, SC; siblings, Kristine "Sissy" Giffin (Brad) of Elizabeth City, NC, Sharon Kelly (Matt) of Belton, SC, and Graham Phillips (Brandi) of Tobaccoville, NC; 7 nieces and 2 nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McMakin officiating. The family will greet guests 30 minutes prior to the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
