May 30, 1998 – February 11, 2026
John Robert Simpson, born on May 30, 1998, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 27. A resident of Piedmont, South Carolina, John was a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend.
John Robert loved the people in his circle fiercely - his family, his girlfriend, Ariana Bulkley, and his friends from all seasons - childhood, college and law school. Although his time with us was shorter than we would have wished for, we will be forever blessed by our time together. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, amazing tight hugs and for living life at full speed.
John's early life and education included attending River Bluff High School, followed by Clemson University. He further pursued his studies at Charleston School of Law, showcasing his dedication to learning and growth.
He is survived by his loving family, including his mother, Rev. Dell Simpson, his father, Troy Simpson, and his sisters, Mary Hannah Jewell (Conner) and Grace Ann Simpson. He was the beloved grandson of James and Jenny Logan and Butch and Ann Simpson. John was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Evans Logan. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Jason and Jamie Simpson, Rob and Lynn Brown, and Jeff and Kristy McKain, as well as his cousins, Osborne Brown (Jessica), Hayden Brown (Emily), Porter Brown, Matt McKain, Lindsay McKain, Will Simpson, Lucas Simpson, and Cooper Simpson.
John was an active member of the youth of Mt. Horeb Church community, reflecting his commitment to faith and service.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Horeb Church, located at 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, South Carolina, on February 15, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service in the Auditorium of the church.
