John Snell, formerly of 217 River Meadow Drive, Rochester, NY, was born February 7, 1927, in Rochester and graduated from Edison High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was active in the Boy Scouts of America where he attained the Eagle rank and worked with Troop #79 as an adult member for well over 25 years. He and his wife, Janet Snell moved to South Carolina in September of 2002 to be near family. He is survived by his wife Janet Snell of Anderson; step daughter Donna LeBerth of Anderson; step-son Marc McGowan and wife Joyce of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Christopher LeBerth and wife Tracy, Kimberly Seymore and husband Terry, Denise Diebold and Kenny, all of Anderson; Candice McGowan of Anchorage, and Kent McGowan, US Army in Germany; great-grandchildren Ben and Nikki LeBerth, Matthew LeBerth, Kristi and Joshua Diebold. He is also survived by his nephews, Charles and Cory Snell and nieces Cathy, Chrisie and Carla.
