He was a United States Navy veteran during WWII and was a supervisor in oil exploration. He attended Lakeview Baptist Church.Survivors include his step-sons; Lloyd J. Maxwell and his wife, Eva Maxwell of Pendleton and William P. Maxwell and his wife, Fay A. Maxwell of Pickens. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with visitation following.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials and Tribute Processing Center, P.O.
