HARRY TODDFebruary 26, 1907 - April 16, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. John Harry Todd, Sr., age 100 of Anderson, SC and husband of the late Ina Mays Todd, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on February 26, 1907, Mr. Todd was a son of the late John Pinckney Todd and Olivia McMahan Todd. He was a 1923 graduate of Boys High School in Anderson and was a United States Army Air Corps veteran having served in the Philippians as a glider pilot during World War II. He retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a captain in the Civil Air Patrol and flew airplanes until the age of 80. He was member of the Kiwanis Club and the First Baptist Church of Anderson where he attended the Baraca Class.Survivors include his son, John Harry Todd, Jr., and his wife, Joanne of Griffin, GA; daughter, Barbara Williams of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Todd of Puyallup, WA. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Melvin 'Bill' Todd; son-in-law, Clyde T. Williams and three brothers.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 12:30 pm at Old Silverbrook Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Jerry Hayes and Mr. Phil Marrett. The Upstate Veterans Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 11:00 am to Noon.
