He was a 1965 graduate of Palmetto High School and graduated from Furman University in 1984. He was retired from BASF Corporation and attended Triangle Baptist Church. He served in the United States Air Force Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Hodges and her husband, Don and Nancy Jordan and her husband Bill, all of Anderson, SC; his former wife, Ann Burdette Waters of Anderson, SC and her children, Bruce Waters of Simpsonville, SC; Rhonda Cowles of Greenville, SC and three grandsons; three nieces and one nephew.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Ronald Fousek and Rev. Phil Dixon. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
