JOHN WILSON June 7, 1928 - May 12, 2008ANDERSON, SCMr. John Lewis Wilson, age 79, of 200 Lancaster Drive, husband of the late Sharron Clarke Wilson, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on June 7, 1928, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Dolph Wilson and Nealie Powell Wilson. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was special bodyguard for Admiral Kelsey. He retired from Duke Power and from 1976 until 1989, he and his late wife were the owners and operators of Tot Town Day Care Center. Mr. Wilson was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Anderson, the Sertoma Club of Anderson and the V.F.W.Survivors include his son, Clarke Wilson and his wife, Rita of Waynesville, NC; daughter, Pamela Nalley and her husband, James of Anderson; and a daughter, Lisa Chapman of Anderson; four grandchildren, Vance Wilson, Branson Wilson, John Westbrook, Kelly Mullikin and a great-grandson, Jordan Mullikin. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lewis LeThair Wilson and his sister, Princilla Williams.A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Paul Frey. Mr. Wilson will be interred at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
