JOHN B. WILSON January 19, 1949 - September 23, 2013 ANDERSON, SC John Benjamin Wilson, age 64, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 at his residence. Born in Lowndesville, SC, he was the son of the late John Blackwell Wilson and the late Beatrice Leverette Childs. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. John retired after many years of service to the Anderson City Police Department. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Barbara D. Wilson, of the home; a brother, Amon S. Wilson and his wife Faith of Abbeville, SC; and a sister, Joan Wilson Cann-Jameson and her husband George of Lake Succession. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Blackwell "Johnny" Wilson and a dear step-father, Oscar U. Childs. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
