JOHNNIE MC MAHAN March 3, 1944 - October 25, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Johnnie Ray McMahan, age 63, husband of Sonjia Sue Sutherland McMahan of 300 Gilmer Road, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson County on March 3, 1944, Mr. McMahan was a son of the late Johnnie W. McMahan and Maggie Evelyn Hawkins McMahan. He formerly worked in construction and textiles. He was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church and attended River of Life Church of God and had served as elder at First Christian Church. In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a daughter, Tina Thompson; a son, Billy McMahan; brothers, Randy and Dale McMahan; sister, Diane Bratcher, all of Anderson; three grandchildren, Hollie Thompson, Chelsea Thompson and Brandon McMahan; two step-grandchildren, Amy Smith, and Johnathon Free; also four step-great-grandchildren, D. J. Free, Alexis Smith, Alyssa Smith and Alana Smith.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Sue McMahan and brother, Jerry McMahan. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the River of Life Church of God officiated by Dr. Stoney Abercrombie and Dr. Ron Culbertson. Interment will follow in Mount Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.Visitation will be held on Saturday at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
