Johnny Albert Brown, age 69, of Iva, SC, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born June 29, 1952, in Anderson, he was a son of Bonnie Hanks Brown and the late J.P. Brown. Johnny was the owner and operator of Brown's Masonry and a member of Iva Church of God. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and was an avid Clemon fan. Johnny will be remembered as a great family man who had a special affection for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Windell Frankum Brown; sons, Rod Brown (Todd), and Chris Brown (Tammy); brothers, Dennis Brown (Linda), Larry Brown (Barbara), and Ricky Brown; sisters, Cheryl Schuller and Rita Brown; 3 grandchildren, Chase (Kinsley), Ryan, and Madison; and 2 great grandchildren, Lakeyn and Ridge. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Brown and Terry Brown; and sister, Tammy Brown. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Iva Church of God with Rev. Robert Price and Rev. David Hudgens officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the home.
