Johnny Wilson Hanks, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, on October 26, 1944, he was the son of the late O.V. Hanks and the late Mary Wilson Hanks. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Johnny worked in construction and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Laurie, Lisa, and Ashley; two sisters, Mary Faye McCurley and her husband Donnie and Jan Clary and her husband Gene; and a brother-in-law, Randy Powell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hanks Powell. There was a private graveside service held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Mr. Butch Pruitt.
