Anderson- Jonathan Jordan 'Jordie' Vickery, age 15, of 1814 Pearl Harbor Way, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Anderson, he was a son of Johnny H. 'J.J' Vickery, Jr. and Chastity Dawn Norris Arnold and was a sophomore at Westside High School. Jordie had a love of music and enjoyed playing the electric and acoustic guitar and keyboard. He also enjoyed skateboarding and just hanging out with friends and family. All who knew and loved him will truly miss him.Surviving in addition to his parents are step-parents, Barry Dyar and Crystal Vickery; sister, Jaylin Vickery; brothers, Blaine Vickery, Brandon and Justin Dyar; grandparents, Annette Michelle Smith and Johnny Lamar Smith, Debbie Vickery and Johnny H. Vickery, Sr., Curtis and Carolyn Dyar; great-grandmother, Jeanette Tippins Stukes and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Wayne Norris; great-grandparents, Chester Lee Blackwell, Evelyn and Archie Shaw, Margaret Simpson and William Vickery.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Johnny Phillips, Robbie Burton and Johnny H.
