Mrs. Jonelle Wentzky, age 89, widow of Vernon N. Wentzky, Sr. of 101 Mary Beth Drive, Anderson, SC, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Stedman, NC.
Born in Seneca, SC, Mrs. Wentzky was the daughter of the late R.P. White and the late Lottie McLane White. She graduated from the Carolina School of Commerce with a Secretarial Science Certification and worked at the Anderson County Courthouse until she had her first child and became a Stay-at-Home Mother. Mrs. Wentzky was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Anderson.
Mrs. Wentzky was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years and her oldest daughter, Ronda Mitchell. She is survived by her son, Vernon N. Wentzky, Jr. of Anderson, three daughters, Donna W. McCollum of Stedman, NC, Mary W. Jahn of Anderson, SC, and Beth W. Reece of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Jerry White of Seneca, SC and Rondy White of Inman; and fourteen grandchildren, Bryan Wentzky, Chad Wentzky, Bret Brown, Jr., Katie Heidecke, Andrew Prescott, Ali Holt, Becca Prescott, Kristopher Ward, Evan Ward, Joanna Starling, Jo Jahn, J.R. Jahn, Phillip Reece, and Eli Reece. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.
Additionally, Mrs. Wentzky was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray White and Donald White.
The graveside service will be held at Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 3:00 pm with Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to the charity of one's choice.
The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, SC is in charge of arrangements.
