Joseph Dean Banks, age 65, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023. Born February 14, 1958, in West Covina, CA, he was a son of the late Robert Furman Banks and Mary Josephine Stastny Banks. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Larry, Michael, Roger, and Debbie. Joseph was an electrician with Pike Electric. He was a one-of-a-kind man who had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was the ultimate handy man and a good mechanic. Joseph was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan who enjoyed watching John Wayne and Star Wars movies, as well as crime and action shows. He loved space and stargazing and also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. He is survived by his children, Marisa Rose Banks of Anderson, SC, Joseph Christian Banks and husband Rafael of Atlanta, GA, and Jason Doyle of San Rafael, CA; ex-wife, Elisa Iannitti Banks of Anderson, SC; sister, Sherry Anne Byce of Greenville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
