Joseph Terrell Denny, age 75, loving husband of Linda Harper Denny of 54 years, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Westminster, SC, on August 5, 1942, J.T. was the son of the late Robert L. Denny and Zoabelle Williams Denny. After graduating from Westminster High School, J.T. began a career as a lineman with Duke Power retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Divver Masonic Lodge, an avid hunter, enjoyed camping and belonged to the Sportsman Hunt Club Abbeville. He was also a member of Temple Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Linda, J.T. is survived by his daughter, Terri Denny Williams (Terry) of Pelzer; brothers, Elmo, David and John Denny; sisters, Louvenia Allison and Linda Sue Sheriff; and a granddaughter, who was his pride and joy, Casey Leigh Williams. Those left to cherish his memory are Charles Davis and Bobby Green and family. In addition to his parents, J.T. was preceded in death by his sister, Robbie Love; and brothers, Lester and Bill Denny. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. following in the Chapel with Reverends Dwight Greene and Tom Turner officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anderson Cancer Association, 215 E. Calhoun St., Anderson, SC 29621.
