JOSEPH DWOZAN Joseph Dwozan, age 89, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Born in September, 1925, in Mount Union, PA, he was the son of the late Alexander Dwozan and the late Anna Smelgeski Dwozan. For thirty-five years, he was the devoted husband of the late Delephene Lane Dwozan who died in 1988. Mr. Dwozan graduated from Mt. Union High School, after which he graduated from Tri-State University in Indiana with a B.A. in Business. Joseph proudly served his country in the US Navy where he was aboard the USS Tennessee during WW II. He was employed as an Accounting manager for Fiberglas and Singer/Ryobi Companies. He was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Marshall Fant Sunday School Class. He was an avid gardener and beekeeper. Survivors include his son, Gregg Dwozan and his wife, Shannon, of Sandy Springs; two daughters, Cindy Evans and her husband, Ronnie, of Anderson, and Tammy Dwozan of Anderson; two grandchildren, Matt Evans and his wife, Paula, and Jay Evans and his wife, Toni; a great-grandson, Will Evans; and a sister, Josephine Dwozan of Mount Union, PA. In addition to his parents and his wife, Delephene, Mr. Dwozan was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael F. Dwozan and Demetrious Dwozan; and a sister Mary Jackiewicz. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Joseph Dwozan will follow at 4 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Dan Batson officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date. The family is at the residence of Cindy and Ronnie Evans.
