Fousek Joseph Larry Fousek, age 30, of Columbus, NC, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Tryon, NC on Friday, December 27, 2013. He was the son of Charles E. Fousek of the home and the late Janie Marie Hope Fousek. Joseph attended and received a diploma certifying attendance from Polk County School System. At birth, he survived all odds and lived for 30 years, giving his family and friends much joy during his life. His father describes him as a happy baby who loved country music. Joseph was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tryon, NC. Survivors include three brothers, Greg Fousek of Greenville, SC, Palmer Fousek and wife Carole, of Greensboro, NC, Paul Sullivan Fousek of Columbus, NC; two sisters, Loren Jennings and Cathy Fousek, both of Anderson. Also surviving is a very close family friend, Ann Horton of Spartanburg, SC, who contributed significantly to Joseph's care. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Joseph Fousek will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Eureka Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Fousek officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the residence of Loren Jennings, 312 Olivarri Drive, Anderson, and will receive friends on Sunday at Eureka Baptist Church from 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.
