JOE KAMEES June 28, 1957 - October 1, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Joseph Brian Kamees, age 55, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Chaves Co, NM, he was the son of Vera Edgar Denius of Newport News, VA, her husband, the late Charles Denius, who raised Joe, and the late Samuel Kamees. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Baseball Umpire, an avid collector and seller of antique toys, and a skilled outdoorsman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his spouse, Carolyn Kamees; two sons, Joseph Kamees Jr. (Joy) of Greer, SC and Jeremiah Kamees of Anderson, SC; three daughters, Marla Anderson of Poynette, WI, Kendra Hendren (Tray) of Hudson, NC and Kirsten Kamees of Anderson, SC; five brothers, Sam Kamees, Jr. (Doris) of Harleysville, PA, Keenan Kamees of CO, Douglas Kamees of Newport News, VA, Ballard Kamees of FL, and Terry Denius of Williamsburg, VA; one sister, Carol Ivy (Tim) of Yorktown, PA; and six grandchildren, Kameron, Arianna, Ethan, Devin, Cheyenne, and Alexis. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Parker officiating. The family will be at the residence and will gather for a time of visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
