JOSEPH KONICKI ANDERSON, SC Joseph Konicki, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on November 4, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on July 23, 1920, he was the son of the late Victor Konicki, Sr. and the late Ewa Konicki. He proudly served his country in both the United States Army and the Navy and spent the majority of his career working in a shipyard in Baltimore, MD. He was a faithful member of Orrville Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. Joseph was always called to fix things and especially liked to tinker with cars. He enjoyed trips and always helped everyone on the bus, he was a true gentleman. He is survived by his long-time companion, Nellie Kern and a brother, Victor Konicki, Jr. of Parma Heights, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. The family would like to especially thank Jim and Doris Burris, good friends who helped take care of Joseph. The Graveside service will be held at New Silver Brook Cemetery on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. The family will be at 125 Avondale Road, Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orrville Baptist Church, 42 South Hammett Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
