Joseph Rodolphe Roland Lamoureux, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born July 21, 1929, in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late George Lamoureux and Eliza Levesque Lamoureux. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Lamoureux; 3 brother and 2 sisters.

Joseph was a veteran of both the United States Army and Coast Guard and served aboard the USS Mackinaw. Having been born during the Great Depression, he developed a perseverance that carried him all throughout his life. He was a business owner, a master electrician, a private pilot, and ham radio operator. He was a constant learner and encouraged education. He was passionate about giving to charities, especially St. Jude, Boys Town, and the American Indians. Joseph was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Brian Lamoureux (Karen) of Pelham, NH; daughter, Diane Dennis of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Joseph Lamoureux (Lori), Kate Wallace (Eric), Kristy Toto (Dave), Kellie Gatzemeyer (Ryan), and Thomas Dennis (Jackeline); and great grandchildren, Cassidy, Cameron, Ava, Emma, Mila, Kira, Thomas, and Eliza.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip S. Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
