Joseph Olin Smith, 97, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at NHC Healthcare Anderson. Born October 18, 1922 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Ted C. Smith and Vera Harris Smith. He was married to the late Frances Marie Gentry Smith. He formerly worked for Singer and Merita and was retired from BASF. His spare time was spent doing what he loved, gardening and yard work. He is survived by his children, John W. Smith, Joseph David Smith (Kandra), Peggy Harbin (Olin) and Kathy Craft; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Olin Smith; son-in-law, Billy Craft; and 3 grandchildren. The family will host a private memorial service.
