Joseph Timothy "Tim" Brown passed into the Heavenly Portals of Glory to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 29, 2024 in Regency Hospital

Tim was born on June 30, 1951 in Greenwood, SC to the late Joseph Wesley Brown and the late Martha Wilma Sorrow Brown. Tim was a faithful member of Long Branch Baptist Church on Highway 413, Anderson, where he was a member of the Circle of Friends Sunday School Class.

Tim dearly loved his church, his family and his Long Branch Church family as well as Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Tim worked at DHEC as an Air Quality Control Environmental Engineer, Owens Corning Fiberglas Anderson Chemical Plant as a Process/Project Engineer, and Tri-County Technical College as Department Head for the Automated Manufacturing Technology, General Engineering Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology programs. Tim was a 1969 graduate of Belton Honea Path High School, a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1973, Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 1977 and Clayton University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering in 1986. Tim received his South Carolina Professional Engineers' License in 1980. Tim earned certificates in Missile and Spacecraft Guidance and Control, and Communications Engineering plus COMPTIA certifications: A+, Network+ and Security+.

Tim is survived by his children Scott (Jodi) Burdette of Anderson, Amy (Brian) Wilson of Belton, and Rhonda (Robert) Galbreath of Liberty. He is also survived by one sister Becky Brown of Honea Path, and grandchildren Jacob Wilson of Seneca, Chase Galbreath of Liberty, Hannah Wilson of Greenville, Matthew Burdette of Anderson, Madison Burdette of Anderson and Jamin Wilson of Belton, plus nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, and loving, much loved wife of 41 years, Jane.

Life Celebration Services for Tim will be held on April 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, 2211 North Main Street, Anderson, SC. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following the services. The service speakers will be Rev. Clarence Atkins and Wayne Watson. The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 1:45 pm before the service. The families will be at their respective homes.
