JOSEPHINE CARNESOctober 3, 1922 - May 6, 2009AKRON, OHJosephine Stasney Carnes went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2009, surrounded by her son David and family. She was born on Oct 3, 1922 in Anderson, SC. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lula Ramey Stasney of Anderson. Josie was a member of Living Water Ministries, Inc. in Akron, OH. In retirement, Josie kept busy loving her three grandchildren (Kim, Joe, and Crystal) and her 7 great-grandchildren. Most of all she loved to pray and read her Bible. She read her Bible through three times. She was married to the late Joe Carnes for 62 years, who passed away in 2004. Survivors include her son David (Brenda) Carnes of Akron, OH and daughter Barbara (Glen) Weatherholtz of Casselberry, FL; one sister, Louise Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Anderson.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Edward R. Keaton. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2009, from 6:00 pm ' 8:00 pm at the funeral home.The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
