Alice Josephine Nelson Kelley, age 81, of Iva, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Born June 8, 1943, in Lowndesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Randolph Nelson and Pearl Nelson Ream. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy E. Kelley.

Josephine, affectionately called "Nanny" by her grandchildren, enjoyed reading books, taking cruises, and cooking. She made the yummiest biscuits! Most of all, she loved and enjoyed her family. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald E. "Donnie" Kelley; daughter, Kimberley Kelley; sister, Glenda Bailey (Joe); 4 half-sisters, 1 half-brother; daughter-in-law, Patti Kelley; grandchildren, Megan Holbrook (Matt), Makayla Kelley, and Torry Kelley (Brooke); and great grandchildren, Wyatt, Willow, and Walker Holbrook, and Lainee Kelley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Union Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm with Rev. Scotty Willoughby and Rev. Mike McMillion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
