Joshua Neil Vaughn, age 38, of Starr, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was the son of Deryl and Kaye Campbell Vaughn and the loving husband to Kayla Metz Vaughn. Josh was the proud and devoted father of Ryann Elizabeth and Joshua Reid Vaughn. He is also survived by a brother, Brendan Deryl Vaughn (Charlene) and niece, Audree of Starr and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Josh was a vital part of the family business, Tri-Star Auto Glass. He enjoyed many hobbies, such as fishing, deer hunting, and had been an avid coon hunter for many years, winning several championship hunts. Because of his love for people, Josh was blessed with an abundance of friends. He believed and lived out the verse in Proverbs 18:24, "A man that hath friends must show himself friendly." Josh was known for his kind heart, contagious smile, and sense of humor. There are some people in life that make you laugh a little harder, smile a little bigger, and live just a little better. Josh was one of those people. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:30pm Saturday, September 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Iva. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary with Pastor Robbie Burton and Mike Green, of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Abbeville, officiating. Burial will follow in Starr Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his parents, Deryl and Kaye Vaughn, 6349 Hwy 81 South, Starr.
