She was a graduate of Anderson College and the Medical University of South Carolina. Mrs. Delorme was an occupational therapist and member of Boulevard Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Peter Delorme of the home; son, Benjamin Delorme of Anderson; daughter, Melinda Gillespie and husband, Derek of Hickory, NC; parents: the Reverend & Mrs. Richard Roberts of Iva; brother, Charles Roberts and wife, Kim of Hartsville, SC; and sister, Janet Roberts Culpepper of Landrum, SC.A Service to Celebrate the Life of Joy R. Delorme will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 23, 2009, at Boulevard Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Dr. Johnny F. McKinney.
