Joyce Marie Alewine, 64, of Anderson, SC passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Condor Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center. Joyce was born on August 25, 1956, in Anderson, SC. She was the only child of the late Dewey E. Alewine and the late Inez Burdette Alewine. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by a cousin, reared in the home, Melissa Upton (Elijah) of Anderson, SC; aunt, Peggy Powell of Hampton, VA; and many cousins. The funeral service will be held at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, February 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens where she will lie at rest beside her parents. Social distancing will be observed, and masks are required.
