Barbara Joyce Townes Cann, age 79, of Iva, SC, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born August 19, 1943 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Randolph Townes and Pearl Ward Thomason Townes. She was married to Cecil Joseph Cann until his death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Townes. Joyce was a graduate of Crescent High School and Forrest Junior College. She enjoyed traveling and loved being "Nana" to her 4 grandchildren. She was a life-long faithful member of Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Susan Cann, Jody Cann (Sheila), and Chris Cann (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Whitner Cann, Lily Frances Cann, Jacob Cann, and Levi Cann. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O.
