EVANS January 21, 1933 - March 5, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Joyce Sara Allen Evans, age 74 of 715 Travis Road, Anderson, SC, died Monday, March 05, 2007 at the Hart County Hospital in Hartwell, GA.Born in Anderson, SC on January 21, 1933, Mrs. Evans was a daughter of the late Burgess Thomas Allen and Rosa Lee Gaines Allen. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas with over 37 years of service. She also worked at Tri-County Technical College and Anderson College. Survivors include a son, Keith Davis and his wife, Linda Jo and a daughter, Donna Looney, all of Anderson; sisters, Dorothy Elrod of Iva, Madolyn Wood and Betty Freeman, both of Starr; five grandchildren, Brad Davis, Jason Davis, Tonya Ross, Kayla Williams and Wesley Looney; six great-grandchildren, Dallas, Hunter, Jack, Tomas Michael, Gavin and Sheldon. A special friend, Sybil DeLa Rosa also survives.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade Allen and William Allen; a sister, Lois Jones and a granddaughter, Rebecca Maddison.A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Starr Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Mr. Swayne R. Barnes.
