Joyce Wlkerson Jefferson passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was 81. Born in Greenwood, SC on September 27, 1934, Joyce was a daughter to the late Obie Lloyd Wilkerson and the late Elizabeth Boswell "Lee" Wilkerson. She was a graduate of Belton High School, class of 1952. Joyce retired as district manager of Manpower, after 27 years of service. She was an avid card player and traveler. She was a lover of music and playing the piano and she enjoyed being a part of the Anderson Senior Follies and the Electric City Shag Club. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Shirley Carter; and Sandi Jefferson Campbell (Victor); and grandchildren, Haley McDowell, Megan Morton, Beau, Hunter and Luke Campbell, and Katie, Dylan, Jessica and Elliott Jefferson; and great-grandchildren, Allie, Gracie, Lilly, Emma and Luca. Those who preceded Joyce in death are her son, Stacy Frank Jefferson, and her brother, Randall Lloyd "Butch" Wilkerson. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service in the Chapel beginning at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
