Joyce Alise Martin Nash, age 85, of 116 Poplar Lane, Anderson, went to be with her Lord and Savior upon her death on Friday, October 14, 2016. Born in Townville, SC on September 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Grady Woodford Martin and the late Iola Little Martin. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Albert "Cotton" Nash, Jr. until his death in 1994. She was retired after many years employment at Owens Corning Fiberglass. Mrs. Nash was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Among her many talents were cooking and serving family meals. She was a servant of the Lord, and always had concern for others. Mrs. Nash was a faithful member of the House of Prayer. Joyce is survived by three sons, Robert Garland Nash and his wife Chris, of Hartwell, GA, Michael Dennis Nash and his wife Rhonda, of Anderson, and Mark Tommy Nash of Starr, SC; two daughters, Deborah N. Allen of Hartwell, GA, and Tammy J. Catron and her husband Timothy, of Anderson; six grandchildren, Marcy Fain, Amanda Nash, Joshua Catron, Jeremy Catron, Emily Nash, and Dennis Nash; four great-grandchildren, Lexie, Victoria, and Sophia Fain, and Chase Dutton; and three great-great grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, and Barbara Catron. In addition to her parents and her husband "Cotton," Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by brothers, Sidney Lee Robertson, Doyle Martin and Dennis Martin; sisters, Ruby Nell Gambrell and Edna Inez Hiott; and a grandson, Christopher Brandon Nash. A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Joyce Nash will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Jerry Nation officiating.
