Obituary: JOYCE SCOTT ANDERSON, SC - Mae Joyce Pressley Scott, age 74, wife of Julian Leroy Scott, departed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Iva, SC, on December 27, 1939 she was the daughter of the late David Pressley and the late Mary Zou Reynolds Pressley. She graduated from Crescent High School in 1957. Mrs. Scott was the owner of Just Kids Child Care for over 25 years; she also worked for Rocky River Mill in Calhoun Falls. She was a member of Smyrna Methodist Church and enjoyed her Friday nights at the Lowndesville Opry. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Yvette Ruzicka (Dennis) of Anderson, Lajuana Smith of Townville, Melvin Alexander of Iva, Ken Scott of Greer, Scotty Alexander (Debora) of Iva and Jason Alexander of Iva; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Reverend Eric Smith and Reverend Loudez Belk officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Abbeville. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Monday, March 17, 2014 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted.
