Juanita Ransom Coffee passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Ellenburg Nursing Home surrounded by family. She was 87. Born in Anderson, SC on June 1, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Charles Newton Ransom and the late Mary Jane Patterson Ransom. She was a member of the Belton Church of God of Prophecy. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Randall Coffee of Anderson, SC, and Kenneth Coffee and his wife Frances of Blacksburg, SC; one daughter, Nancy Crawford and her husband Haskell of Anderson, SC; a sister, Peggy Hickman of Anderson, SC; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Joel Coffee, daughter-in-law Dianne Lamb Coffee, one brother and eleven sisters. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenneth Baker, Reverend Bo Trotter and Reverend Jay Hardy officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
