NITA DEAN December 20, 1912 - December 30, 2005STARR, SCMrs. Juanita Jane Drake Dean, age 93, of 329 Fred Dean Road, Starr, SC, and wife of the late Fred A. Dean, died Friday, December 30, 2005 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson County, SC on December 20, 1912, Mrs. Dean was a daughter of the late Ralph E. Drake and Mary McKinney Drake. She was retired from Anderson Memorial Hospital in the Nursery. She was a member of Starr Baptist Church, former member of the W.M.U of the church and a former Sunday School teacher.Survivors include her daughters, Betty Dean and her husband, Clink of Anderson, SC, Emily Fowler of Columbia, SC and Margaret Duffell and her husband, Carl of Starr, SC; a sister, Eva Bleckley of Greenwood, SC; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Drake and Charlie Drake.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2006 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 2:00 pm officiated by the Reverends Tony Howell and Randy Fleming. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 31, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Margaret Duffell, 327 Fred Dean Road, Starr, SC.Flowers are optional.
