Juanita Cooper Stephens, age 93, of Belton, SC, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at NHC Healthcare Anderson.
She was born January 4, 1928, in Six Mile, SC, and was the daughter of the late Elbert Benjamin Cooper and Christine Robinson Cooper. She was married to the late Mack Furman Stephens. Juanita spent her career in the textile industry and was a member of Belton Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Stephens Haynie; grandchildren, Alex Haynie (Melissa) of Belton and Meredith Haynie LaRock of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Carolina Haynie, Charlie Haynie, Aubrey LaRock and Trey LaRock; nephews, Wendell Grimes, Eugene Grimes, and Vincent Grimes; and special cousins, Andrea Barber (Brian) of Rapid City, SD, and Mary Erdman (Steve) of Marcus, IA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Grimes and son-in-law, George W. Haynie.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2021, from noon to 1:00 pm at Belton Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Norman Black officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, SC.
